Let’s Feed Brum is a community-driven organisation. We provide more than just food to Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerable population. We build lasting connections, offer essential support, and empower individuals to access the services they need to rebuild their lives.
Whether in temporary accommodation, sofa surfing or sleeping rough, pathways are available to help people access better living conditions. These potentially life-changing services are not always accessed due to lack of awareness, lack of trust, or an abundance of red tape.
Let’s Feed Brum aims to bridge the gap between support services and the people who need them. Our nightly walkabouts and twice weekly breakfasts help us to start conversations with homeless and vulnerable people building relationships and trust.
Our core activities
Board of Trustees
Let’s Feed Brum is an almost exclusively volunteer-led organisation. Each of our Trustees contributes expertise from a specialist area, enabling them to guide the charity to better support those most vulnerable within the community.
The Board creates and executes strategic growth and development plans, as well as running operations, finances, fundraising, corporate governance and public engagement for the charity.

Our history
In 2016, a small group of people founded Let’s Feed Brum. They were united by compassion for Birmingham’s homeless community and a commitment to on-street engagement.
By simply offering food, drink and kindness to the homeless and vulnerable people they met, they built friendships that led to better signposting and to greater acceptance of the support available.
From that dedicated group, a network of over 150 volunteers has grown. Each person gives up their time to offer essential supplies and kindness to the people of Birmingham.
In 2020, Let’s Feed Brum became a registered charity (1178574) and in 2022 we were honoured to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service – the equivalent to an MBE for charities.
As we continue to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of the communities we support, Let’s Feed Brum remains committed to being an inclusive, welcoming organisation to anyone we encounter.
